This project is focused on tailoring a product to fulfil the needs of one specific user. The need which should be fulfilled relates to the syndrome the specific user suffers from. This user will be included in all design choices and will give ideas and feedback throughout the entirety of the process. The knowledge of this co-designer, as the user would be called in this design dynamic, is fundamental in creating a well-working product as the co-designer knows the exact problems and limits of the syndrome. This method of closely working with the end-user and allowing them to become active partners in the design process is known as ‘co-design’ or ‘participatory design’.
